After great success last year, we are delighted to hear that, for the second year running, Sugar Cane Club Hotel & Spa on the dazzling island of Barbados is continuing its partnership with the face of UK gardening and ITV star, Katie Rushworth.
The five-day retreat running from 19 October - 23 October 2017 will allow guests to explore the hotel's lush gardens, teeming with an array of wildlife, from monkeys to hummingbirds and parakeets. The gardening retreat will focus on the vibrant variety of wildlife that grows in Barbados, as well as teaching you how to design a tropical garden at home. Katie will lead morning classes, talks and guided walks which will have demonstrations of planting and bedding among many other tips.
There will be opportunities to explore the rest of this multifaceted island with optional trips to Andromeda Gardens, Hunte’s Gardens and Orchid World as well as a tour of Fustic House. At the hotel’s kitchen garden, Katie will support Roy Quintyre with a cocktails and cooking demonstration where you can get some fabulous ideas to bring home. Guests can join Katie and the hotel’s head gardner on a guided hike to discover the larger tropical plants native to Barbados, through Sugar Cane Club’s extensive natural gully.
The gardening & cooking tutorials are complimentary for guests staying at Sugar Cane Club Hotel & Spa between 19 - 23 October 2017.
