Merville Beach is a relaxed and friendly resort, situated on a delightful stretch of sand, just along the coast from lively Grand Baie. Here you can pamper yourself with a blissful beachfront massage, get the adrenaline pumping with a fantastic selection of complimentary watersports, or enjoy the simple pleasures of watching the world go by from the comfort of your sun lounger.

169 light and colourful rooms enjoy views of the tropical gardens or lagoon. Each has a private balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, satellite TV, complimentary WiFi, a mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. It’s well worth upgrading to a Superior Room for partial sea views, or to a Beachfront Deluxe Room, from which you’ll be closest to the sand with sea views and benefit from a separate bath and walk-in shower. The more spacious Bungalow Deluxe Rooms also feature a separate bath and shower and have a sun terrace with loungers from which to enjoy views of the Indian Ocean. All room types can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child up to the age of 17 yrs and Bungalow Deluxe Rooms can interconnect to form a larger family space, or there are Family Deluxe Rooms offering a second bedroom for up to 2 children under 18 yrs.
The main restaurant is built around an old badamier tree and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with dishes drawing on Chinese, Creole and French cuisine. There’s also a pizzeria (6 days a week) and regular barbecues and themed buffet dinners, plus evening entertainment. Down on the beach, La Terasse is a chilled out venue serving thirst quenchers and cocktails, with beach service during the day.
The resort offers a great range of facilities and activities, including a beachfront swimming pool, fitness centre, floodlit tennis court, table tennis, volleyball and complimentary windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling, waterskiing, pedal boats and glass bottom boat trips. Further payable activities offered are PADI diving, catamaran cruising and swimming with dolphins, and The Links 18-hole golf course is just a 20 minute drive away. The kids’ club, for 3-11 yrs, hosts an array of daily activities, and the entrance is conveniently close to the LUX* Me Spa, so you can enjoy a massage in one of the open air beachfront cabanas, to the soothing rhythm of the ocean waves, while the children are off having fun.
